Hugh Writes: The bug has bitten me! What I have is a 1994 F-150 that I would like to restore. Are there any body shops in Columbus Ohio or surrounding area that you know of that does this type of work? Hugh,I cannot recommend any shops near, but I can direct you to a few sport truck clubs in your area. The clubs in your area are the best resources for local services, parts, shows, and other enthusiast interests. Club members always know the “dirt” on the best places to have work done….and where “not” to go. Members share the same interests that you do will also have a wealth of knowledge and helpful hints to pass on. Being a member of a car/truck has many other benefits too.Since your 1994 truck is still pretty new in terms of parts. Most all the parts you will need are still available from your local Ford dealer. Ford generally stocks parts for 15-20 years before obsoleting the parts out for a particular model. You can also go online to http://www.genuine-ford-parts.com/ and get what you need there. Currently, I am not aware of any reproduction parts vendors supporting these year Ford Trucks yet.

Mercedes Opens Classic Center in California


According to Mercedes, of the half-million collectible Mercedes in North American, half of them are in Southern California. This concentration of classic Mercedes vechiles made the city of Irvine in Orange County the natural choice for the new Mercedes-Benz Classic Center which opened October 14. The 27,600 square foot Classic Center is a multi-purpose facility that provides meeting space, restoration services ($99 per hour), a parts center, and a 30-car museum.
